Yesterday I was utterly and unbelievably angry. Of this guy on 99designs.com http://99designs.com/people/leleboy, he sent me this message:

Subject: Be original, now i can see why you are having all those 25 wins, because you’re a copy writter and people who doesn’t have an ideea in their mind, are called parrots or copywritters.. good luck in your original way :)

First thing I do is laugh, as he doesn’t even know what a copy writer mean (and he typo-ed it too). Then I go and browse his portfolio, which is I find most of them are ugly. Ah, just another hater with big problem on low-esteem and couldn’t take that the world is actually bigger than him. So I reply and told him to be a man and suck it up (with a little correction on his word-use), and here’s what he reply after:

I don’t need your support for my expression mistakes, the ideea was simple, but, because i’m right you’ve started to correct my text, and change the subject, oh.. you’re so complexed about you, and if you’re trying to make me fussy, u can use other words than suck or what your papa gave you to eat :). I don’t have any reasons to feel bad because i’m not from US or GB to have a perfect language skills. The point was simple, and of course I will not report your design because it wasn’t exactly like mine you stupid, it was about the ideea of that logo, but you are locked in a box and it’s hard to understand some things in life…

I was dumb-stunned for a moment and being literally stupid for a while. I think about it for 12 hours straight. What-the-hell-did-I-do-wrong to offend him in such manner, seriously? How come me, not meant to brag—but you know what I mean—the one who come up with an idea such as this: http://is.gd/zBWbk1 be bothered so much with some wuss who has no taste in design:http://is.gd/iMhOoh.

Okay, maybe there’s something wrong with me, but not my creativity. And definitely not my taste either. But still bothered, am thinking hard, what should I do to make myself feel good after this, because it got extreme effect on my mood. All-in-all, I couldn’t help but wondering, what kind of man to be disheartened after someone beat him in a virtual contest like this? But surely he’s the one who’s locked in a box, otherwise, I wouldn’t be where I stand right now if I don’t “understand some things in life”. Geez, I need to ride a roller coaster to get this out of my chest. Seriously.
