Just My Mum
So I laid back on my back these past two days for various illness. Now, now, when I say various, it’s not that complicated or serious. Well, it is serious, I tell you, so serious that it forced me to have a bedrest and extra careful with my what I eatーbut let’s back to what I was trying to say at the first sentence..
I got sick, and apparently lose my appetite, so Mum was back and forth, walk in and out of my room kept asking questions like: “Do you want to eat something?” “How about some snacks?” and I keep telling her no, and no to every offer. One time she asked, “How bout kue bandung?”. I didn’t answer so she translated it into: “Yes, I want kue bandung, please.” So, Mum went up couple of blocks from home and bought me some. The rest of the day I spent sleeping & laying around my bed since I’m too powerless to do anything.
The afternoon I woke up for my medicine and found the kue bandung. There it was. Sinful piles of chocolates, nutty & buttery kue bandung. But wait. Whoa, it got cheese in it. Why am I surprised? Hmm. Because, you see, my Mum is lactose-intolerant so she can’t consume any dairy products, cheese included. I asked, “Why cheese, Mum, you can’t eat those.” “That’s okay, it’d be more delicious that way and you’ll eat more. That’s the important thing.” Aaaaww, I love you Mum. :’)
